Big deal in which I get one of the top riders in terms of scoring, Schachmann. He is capable of winning one week stage races, TTs as well as Ardennes classics. He is getting better, has astrong team that rely on him and also had some bad luck in the past which caused that he didn't score as much as he could. I'm expecting him to be on the top for next few years and I'm happy to give him leadership role in my team.

Gaviria keeps disappointing me and I'm happy to let him go. He is not the same rider as in Quick Step and I can't see any valid reason for that. He can still win bunch sprints against pretty much everyone but I'm looking for a more versitale rider who can score in different terrain, especially in classics.

Degenkolb is over the hill and wont score much, unfortunately. I have bought him mostly for his retirement stop but as there was an option to buy Schachmann I was happy to include him into the deal.
Honore is the rider I really admire and I still think he can improve a lot in future. On the other hand, there are already younger riders in DQS who does better and started get results immediately. I'm a bit worried there is not enough space for guys like Honore to score on regular basis in DQS.

Deal is correct.

Schachmann was my absolute leader but for a superb offer everyone is available.
I've told Tom that I need a Talent, a High SV and a rider which still scores points during the season.
Three specific reasons for this deal: 1. spread of opportunities 2.sell them when they are hot and buy them when they are not. 3. Risk management, it is better to have more options than to have one Rider.

Honore is a rider which, I think could be the new Lampaert. The most riders which are showing results at DQS are GC riders. Honore is a one day specialist. I think he can make the same progression as Almeida did. Almeida's first year was also a little bit difficult.  

Gaviria is only 26 years old and I think he can gain still a lot of points during the season.

Degenkolb has a good SV and will get his chances.

So in general I will get a lot more certainty for the long term and less risk due to the high SV and 3 riders instead of one.
